The Trainspotters are a rising young rock band from Cambridgeshire, made up of five dedicated musicians aged just 13 and 14. Blending raw energy with surprising musical maturity, the band features Zach on lead guitar and vocals, Tom on bass, Harry on drums, Jess on rhythm guitar, and Levi on keyboards.

They recently won Battle of the Bands, beating 12 competing acts in a night that featured 24 live performances. Their set included standout renditions of Johnny B Goode and Welcome to the Jungle, earning them both Best Song and Overall Winner.

As part of their win, The Trainspotters are set to perform at The Junction in Cambridge on Friday 18 September 2026, a venue known for hosting major touring and breakthrough artists.

The band rehearse relentlessly, spending every lunch break in the school music room and continuing sessions at home and at Upland Rock Rooms in Wyton on weekends. Their work ethic is matched by a deep love of rock music, with a repertoire that includes Johnny B Goode, Welcome to the Jungle, Hysteria and Plug In Baby by Muse, Layla by Eric Clapton, Money for Nothing by Dire Straits, and Hotel California by the Eagles.
